Used to go to TNF all the time to shoot at that old range whwre you leave parking fee in envelope.
Was telling this to wife—“you get drop on some robber, especially an armed one, shoot them, no words, no hesitation” |

Wonder how many bodies are hidden out there. Bet this wasn't their first rodeo doing that. I'm starting back camping this fall. Will be backpack and canoe camping. Have always been careful at boat ramps and parking areas. Will definitely have a handgun ready, rifle if using canoe.

The minute he saw the threat he needed to eliminate the threat. I may be wrong but I am afraid he did not shoot to eliminate. Regardless horrible situation. One more thing good belt and holster, not stuck down your pants.

Yes you can open carry in any National Forest here in Bama. I believe the same for state parks as well.

Second conviction in federal court this week for this pair of criminals, the shooter rolled on the other one as the mastermind.
I have been hiking that area for almost 3 decades and never expected to see this sort of thing. Glock 19 will remain my constant companion from here on out, the Talladega National Forrest is no longer safe trails, "only my J frame" country for me. There are no more safe places, anywhere. |
