I also believe that the Representative Republic known as the United States of America has effectively fallen/failed as of the stolen election on 3 November 2020.

I also believe that the nation will break apart into Free and Socialist nations as Red states seek to abandon the sinking ship that is the US economy and the US dollar.
Not to mention the fact that Red (productive class) states have long been fed up with supporting Blue (entitlment class) through forced taxation (legalized theft) through social-engineering tax measures like SALT (state and local tax deductions.)
Won't even get started about red states having to comply with BS laws created by commies in the federal government that don't apply to their lives in any way.
When things finally do go SHTF, you want to be on the right side of the border and have built your tribe.

The US Army published an unclassified version of a document titled,"Multi-Domain Transformation" on 16 March 2021.
In it, they stated that we are now in an era global great power competition.

In the document, they made many conclusions:

1) The US is facing a near-peer tactical threat in Russia and a strategic near-peer threat in Communist China. (tactical = regional/strategic = global)

2) Communist China is numerically superior to the US in terms of navy ships and submarines and personnel.
   Like Stalin said during WW2,"quantity has a quality all its own". Russia did not have superior equipment to Germany, but they simply had a lot more, which was a deciding factor for them. China is following  the same plan.

3) For the first time since World War 2, the US cannot automatically assume they'll possess naval and air superiority in a future conflict and will have to compete for it, especially at the outset.
   In fact, it might not even be practical at this point to assume that the US will EVER possess naval and air superiority in ANY future conflict.

4) The most important elements of the document, insofar as we/I am concerned:
   The document stated that the Army/DoD can no longer assume that the US/CONUS homeland will be a sanctuary for DoD/government personnel, civilians, and military families.

5) A major avenue for force-projection against the US for Russian and China is in the cyber domain.
   the document states that they'll use cyber, space, electromagnetic and BIOTECHNOLOGY WEAPONS (sound familiar?) in any future conflict. (by that measure alone, we're already at war).

6) As stated in the US Army's 2019 National Security Strategy document, "The joint force can no longer assume that the US homeland is a sanctuary".
   DoD has been quietly warning for years that should the US get embroiled in a conflict with Russia/China, " adversaries will subject the US homeland...to anti-access (A2) efforts by conventional and unconventional means, including          but not limited to cyber attacks, fomenting protests, and criminal activity". (again, the these metrics, we're already at war as that sounds a lot like what is already happening).

Furthermore, in another quote for the aforementioned document, "adversaries will use sophisticated intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) networks to target both military installations and soft targets associated with friendly forces, including private sector organizations, civilian infrastructure, institutional Army and joint targets, space capabilities, and service member's families".
Considering how the Commies are already infiltrating and influencing private sector organizations to fund domestic insurgent/terrorist groups like Antifa/BLM...again...we're already at war and have been for a while IMHO.

I was just talking about this with a family member yesterday. I know states like texas (and others) have wanted to succeed for a long time. I am wondering if they will sometime soon? I wonder what the US would say about it? How much opposition would there be? I was telling this person how guys have been wearing belt buckles with confederate flags that say "the south will rise again". Maybe they were right. I think all gulf coast states are very red. Secession will be incredibly difficult for the citizens of any state that tries it.
There are federal employee pensions, military pensions, social security pensions and benefits, federal highway and infrastructure funds, forest service, parks service, law enforcement, education endowments, farm subsidies, US Army Corps of Engineers civil engineering services, department of energy, ad nauseum...all kinds of things we haven't even begun to think about that would need to be unwound.
Railroads, air traffic and airports, housing, electrical grid, food and drug safety and development, education, communications, disaster preparation and relief, on an on ad nauseum.
The Feds have their claws into a lot of stuff in our lives.
That's the problem with a lot of secessionists and such...easier said than done. Nobody seems to have a detailed comprehensive plan for what comes afterward either.
