Sandra Jauregui introduced AB286 yesterday. It bans 80% receivers and manufacturing or building of ghost guns. Also it looks like there is language to restrict the carrying  of  firearms. Bill was introduced on the last day of submissions. Go Figure.  Found the text on her website. Here is the link.

Great. The signs carrying force of law part will mean the big casinos will be 100% on board too. This is gonna be a tough fight, we need to get on it hard.

I am watching the hearing live right now. What a joke. The guy from Brady can't even pronounce NEVADDDUA. Of course he is giving his testimony from crime free LA.

Got this in my email inbox earlier:

Hello!

AB286, an anti-gun bill, is once again threatening your 2nd Amendment rights! CCW holders seem to be the focus of this legislation. Please review the attached bill and contact your Legislator to say NO on AB286.

Although introduced only yesterday, the bill was heard in the Assembly Judiciary Committee this morning at 8:00am. To submit your opinion, feel free to click on this link Share Your Opinion with your Legislators (state.nv.us)

Thank you for your attention to this important call to action.

Senator Ira Hansen

District 14

Sounds like that state legislator hasn't been getting dicked down right if she has time to not make sammiches and think this bullshit up.

Ignored sure, but turning law abiding people into criminals isn't really a joke.

Interesting info about this bill from the NVFAC PAC zoom call today. This bill was originally pushed by the casinos to strengthen trespass laws. The kit-gun portion of it was not something they care about or wanted so they are backing away from it. It was also pulled from the working group schedule today. The three legislators they had on the call (Wheeler, Ellison, O'Niell) aren't too optimistic about killing this bill or this session, and complained that moderate Dems who would listen to reason are disappearing from the Legislature. There is apparently a problem with the language in the bill for the kit-gun issue because, if deemed illegal, there is no specified way for owners to dispose of their no-serial firearms as they cannot be sold in-state, out of state, or transferred to a dealer. Destruction with no compensation for previously legal property seems to be the only way and that won't fly. It's almost as if the imbeciles writing this legislation don't know what they're doing or are being dumb on purpose.

There are some good gun bills out there (including CCW exemption for private sales) but they doubt they'll be heard.

Also, when it comes to contacting legislators, they say that emails and phone calls (all that's really allowed these days) work BUT form emails are worthless and deleted. If you send an email, especially one generated by PAC, make sure your personalize the email. Also Wheeler emphasized that the legislators listen most to personal stories, or how the legislation will affect your personally. Put a personal spin on those form emails if you want them to have any impact.

This probably has a 90% chance of passing with the white guy who shot up the grocery store with his ghost gun.

Thanks for the follow up!! I'll do that from now on and advice my friends to do the same.
