Hey guys,

I am in search of an Ithaca 37 Featherweight Defense stock.
The top has a crack right at the joint of the receiver and the stock. It probably could be fixed, but I am afraid it wouldn't end up holding structurally with firing given the bolt and connection to the receiver.

So looking to see if anyone has a replacement?
I have been looking on ebay and gun broker. Only see 1 that is in ok shape, and probably just needs a clearing more than anything.

Do you guys have a lead on one? Or, know if I could switch to a mossberg or a remington 870 stock in its place?

This is an 80's model, nothing special or rare.

I think any 37 will, but it comes down to grade.
Their bird guns have a high gloss.
The trench , police, and defense guns are all just a matte/light satin finish.

But mounting and pads would all fit, yes.

I've had good luck with these people finding hard to get parts.

well....

You'd probably find a cheaper hunting stock then one off a police gun, you can then refinish I reckon.

I have some slam fire police models,  love em.

One has a factory black coated  wood stock that I've never seen elsewhere,  it's a 1967 gun I think

Choate used to be the manufacturer of the factory synthetic furniture for the 37

Did you find anything?
If not, check with the following

Otherwise I would have said to check with Boltworks in Dryden, but they just burned down yesterday
