As per 4 April ProJO newsrag, at least some unspecified RI Legislature Committee hearings, concerning multiple Gun Bills, will take place on 17 April.

An RI "Assault Weapons Ban" is on the table, along with other Bills.

Suggest all of us e-mail all the Committee Members in order to voice our concerns.  Suggest e-mailing them Multiple times instead of once might make a difference.  Numbers make a difference.

Likewise, suggest we all e-mail our Reps and Sens with our opinions.  Multiple times.

If anyone has figured out a way to make the Ruger 10-22 rimfire rifle compliant with proposed RI "Assault Weapons Ban" and thus not requiring being registered/surrendered/destroyed, please LMK via IM.

As far as I can see, there is no simple way of doing so, and so the 10-22 (straight stock, no muzzle device/threaded barrel; just a plain Jane 10-22) is currently considered an "Assault Weapon" under proposed Bill.

Great!  Now we have to defend pump shotguns!

It has become evident that the RI Anti-Gunners want to eliminate private gun ownership little by little.

Most of us knew this long ago, but now the Antis are becoming more brazen in their demands.

The only way to defeat the Antis is to vote them out of office.  

Primary them so that they need to expend their funds i order to defend their position.

Write decent "Letters to the Editor" on local newspapers in order to embarrass them with the facts.

Confront them publicly and politely with facts.

We have our personal work cut out for us here in RI.

Time to step up.

The problem is they are all allowed to get away with intention ignorance. They have no idea what this bill will do, they littlerally were handed it by the moms to pass, it’s almost ver batum to Illinois, and very close to New Mexico that got shot down earlier this year.

Hurt them where the money is boycott the family businesses or where they or the spouses work and tell them why.
