I live in the Free state of Arizona.Im wondering if one of you Californians can educate on whether I can give my Son a handgun revolver or automatic because he lives in downtown L.A. and its becoming a zoo.What does the law say.

State just wants the son to submit a form reporting the intrafamilial transfer and registering the gun.  State doesn't require a dealer for that.  Feds would want a FFL involved to do the transfer since it's interstate.  I'm not sure any gun stores are still doing transfers in the L.A. area.  Personally, I know what I would do in this situation, but I don't think I'm allowed to advocate that here.

ETA: If he knows a kitchen-table FFL that would be willing to facilitate it, that might be an option.
