Just my reading between the tea leaves.

How is this not a direct assault on the the second amendment “well regulated militia“ statement. A law like this would 100% ensure no one could rise up against an oppressive government.

If they can pass this and make it stand in the courts they have taken down a piece of the second amendment. This is the game plan but as usual they are disguising it as something else.

If it protects their favorite anarchists they are that much happier.

Thoughts?

Exactly:

“Private paramilitary organization’ means any group of three or more persons associating under a command structure for the purpose of functioning in public or training to function in public as a combat, combat support, law enforcement or security services unit.”

That is exactly how I would define a well regulated militia. The are trying to pull the second amendment apart “without going after guns.”

Well that would also put a stop to neighbors who decide to pull security when fires are coming thru and areas are evacuated.  Recall the Mult Co. commissioners throwing a fit as some residents did that a few years ago.  (How dare the locals stop roaming criminals or arsonists from going and burglarizing or burning down their homes!)

Also- DA Mike Schmidt is in favor of it.  That says plenty.  He spends more time working to help his antifa friends and trying to hinder law enforcement than you can imagine...

Another interesting thing is that OR historically had some kind of actual organized militia that was connected somehow to the state military.  I know because at some point they traded in a bunch of AK and FAL rifles...and I ended up buying some of them!  Don’t know much more about the group than that.  They could have been upgrading weaponry, or maybe they were disbanded.  It was about 15 years ago or so...

Good point on the locals helping each other out. After the Alameda fire that’s exactly what happened down here. The local cops were glad to have the help because they had their hands full. Interesting enough is that of all the looters who were caught by these “organized paramilitary people” not one was shot. That doesn’t fit the narrative of all out war that we are being painted with so it is buried.

The murders they are trying to pin on honest law abiding gun owners are almost 100% done by felons in possession and liberal nut jobs.
