I think it's time for Gov Mee-maw to go spend a lot more time with her grandchildren. While her comments were not overtly negative wrt. Rep Brooks, she's not the strong leader that Alabama needs.

Brooks left a really bad taste in my mouth when he refused to vote Boehner out and when questioned about it basically said the voters were too stupid to understand the ramifications if he did (he might get tossed off certain committees, etc.)
Additionally, I watched his speech and he's the one, not Trump, that said what could genuinely be interpreted as inflammatory and inciting. Now that my belly-aching about Brooks is out there, I'd vote Brooks for Governor before I'd vote for Ivy again. Her behavior over the gas tax stuff was over the line for me. I'd like to see him be a little contrite about the rally speech, but other than that I expect him to stand his ground and make them throw him out. |
