Got word this morning that Max... lifestar17 as some of us here knew him online... he passed yesterday morning, peacefully. I don't have many details on circumstances but Dan asked me to pass the word along.

For those who don't and didn't know Max, he was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam, came home and flew the Life Flight helicopter out of OU med. He was awarded the Distinguished Fly Cross and the Silver Star. He was big on animals being both a hunter and veterinarian... he was a man of man hats, even mechanic, instructor, heavy equipment operator. He would go out of his way to help fellow vets, myself included not long ago, with lots of love. He's gonna be missed.

Sad news....I never got to meet him in person but between Arfcom and hearing his exploits from Dan it was easy to like him.  Rest in peace Max...
