Well, Operation Get The Fuck Out Of Tallahassee is proceeding on schedule. Finishing up fixing the current house to put it on the market. Current homes in my AO are selling like wildfire. Wife is getting her side of the op finalized so she can submit her two week notice.

Look out Space Coast, here we come! We have some locations already scouted and have spoken to the realtor. Shoring up our finances so we can do a clean move too. Looking at no mortgage if everything goes right. We thought of moving to a bigger house in Tallahassee, but the costs is way higher and the quality sucks. The Space Coast offers much more bang for our buck.

It will be nice to be centrally located in the state again. It will make it easier as the GOA Rep to travel the state and we'll be closer to family in Miami and Tampa. Also, the little one will enjoy it since we'll be next to the water again and the theme parks.

All in all, 2021 looks like it is shaping up to be a far better year than 2020 was.

I always liked traveling to Tally because it looks so different than the rest of FL, but I wouldn't want to live there. Good luck with your move and thanks for everything you do on behalf of us gun owners.

Tally-Nasty sucks as a place to live. Too far from everything that makes Florida Great. The housing prices here are crazy stupid. I can get a 4 bedroom home on a 1/4 acre in the Space Coast for under $300k but in Tallahassee, that is easily close to $400k and the biggest difference is that in the Space Coast, it isn't a HOA. In Tallahassee, it is a zero-lot in a HOA.

Poorest zip-code in Florida is in Tallahassee. Tallahassee also has the highest crime per capita in FL.

I'd rather have to drive five hours to Tallahassee to work the Capitol then live here anymore. With nothing career wise tying us down. We're out!

Tallahassee was a fun town when I was a kid, 1981, visiting my dad for the summer. I had a bus pass, and was in a marine biology class at FSU for a few hours a day. Used to ride the bus around to class, and various malls to spend my quarters on Centipede and such. Good times.

Good luck.

I used to go up there in the late '80s and early '90s when my friends were going to school there. It was a fun place back then, as was UF/Gainesville, but it seems both places have change quite a bit, and not for the best.

Yeah, real estate prices have gone completely insane, and this socialist city/county keeps getting more socialist, "woke", and crime ridden. I can't wait to relocate (probably to St. John's county), but my work (federal gov) makes it very difficult to transfer facilities, and the process can take years. Luckily, Tallahassee is still not as big of a shit hole as gainesville. That place is a complete dump.
