Just curious what 33 round preban Glock mags are going for usually, I just came across a new one. I saw one on GunBroker just sell for $400. Not sure if that's crazy high..... I'm guessing there aren't too many out there. Thanks

I haven’t seen any sell for $400, and if it does then good for the seller and the buyer should be slapped on the back of the head.

They are normally in the ballpark of $150-200 unfortunately (if it’s a legit OEM Glock mag). Post it up and it will probably sell pretty quick.

I was wondering if this aftermarket magazine is Preban or not. It has a lot of small features that are reminiscent of factory Preban magazines but I am not sure. Does anyone know for sure.

That's in amazingly good shape for a 26+ year old piece of plastic.

From my entirely unscientific research and observations at the range, there are a hell of a lot of folks who get their mags from RI / NH.  Can't tell you how often I'd see someone with an AR carbine and a stack of Pmags.

As far as how much such an item would 'usually go for', I don't think there is enough of a market to draw useful conclusions.  This one sold, but we're at another time of scarcity of firearms, ammo, and accoutrement.

@big_johnson_92

Yes that Scherer magazine is preban. It has the “U notch”, the 9mm marking is lower than the post ban markings and there is no Fed/LE markings.

@steve8140 Thank you. Any idea what this is worth? I've heard these are a lot less reliable that factory Glock magazines. I've done some quick looking and the only place I see them for sale is Gun Parlor but it doesn't list a price.

I’ve seen those in the ballpark of $75-150. List it and see what happens.

Or you could offer a trade, someone order a few new mags of your choosing sent directly to you in exchange for that preban mag. I’ve seen that done a few times as well. The only issue with that is some dealers won’t deal will a MA billing address.

I'll let you all know what it sells for when the auction is over.

I don't know about Scherer mags, but on good authority I've been told that some U-notch 30+ rd genuine Glock mags were made post-ban. And moving the caliber marking was needed on standard capacity mags to make room for the MIL/LEO stamp, but certainly not needed on 30+ rd mags as there is plenty of room for the warning without moving the caliber marking.

For reference, mine sold for $193 shipped and I saw another one that sold very recently for $200 with buy-it-now on GunBroker.
