Finally doing it and getting the hell out of the Portland metro area, the livability of the surrounding area has gotten that bad.
It is a shame I loved the area that I am in but the flood of the junky hordes, lack of willingness of law enforcement and give a fuck less attitude

Pulled the pin and getting the hell out of dodge,  going simpler and way less people.

Lucky you!! My plan was to move to Idaho when I retire, but the Californians and transients are taking it over so I will have to come up with a plan B. As far as the law enforcement comment they are bound by their city council.

North Oregon coast, we got a house there and it was a giant bag of drama llama shit to get to closing,  finally started to move in.
Drips and drabs since it was filled with rental property stuff and no internet connection.  2 inspectors, 1 appraiser missed what we found eight days after signing... the whole roof needed to be replaced.  That's fine, LOVE the small town vibe without the small town drama since it outside of the town proper.

Getting cable strung in the next couple of weeks and then moving the hell out of Portland once we get a stable connection that is not hughes  or dish or the other lacking connections for telecommuting.
