I am thinking of driving to one of those cities sometime in July,
Have to sell the place (house and land) and a bunch of big things I am not moving (boat, tractor, etc) but obviously that will be a different time and where I live It seems most of my ammo will be gone by then, so I will only have a couple of cases (500 rds each) of XM193, 20 boxes (20rds each) of British 7.62x51 (L2A2) and a few other things but fp1201 will probably take some ammo there too So this will be mainly a Summer get together and beer drinking event |

Edit: we are swamped with graduation parties in July, including our own son. So probably can’t host, but could most likely attend. |

"IN" irrespective of location.
You do know I'm an ammo junkie....like a crack head in a pharmacy. |

Sorry to see you follow the rest of the family, but thanks for sticking around NYS as long as you did
You won't be the last one out of the door. At this point any time in July is still open for me, but that changes the closer we get to June I'll do my best to attend wherever the group decides. Maybe somewhere remote so we don't have to abide by the stupid social distancing and group size limits that Cuomo will surely still have in place.... |

Is this a dinner get-together or shooting somewhere? (use up some of that ammo)
Last fall we met at Twin Trees in Cicero (near Syracuse); they're only doing carry-out and delivery right now, I was there last weekend. Two years ago we had a great time shooting all day near Albany, can't remember who organized it. My local club isn't big enough for more than a handful of people at a time. I am between Syracuse and Utica so I'm in for whatever. |

Ed it would be great to see you again. You bring a light of old world charm and class to the gun community.

I am hoping by July, Emperor Cuomo will have lifted most restrictions. I would love to see you all before I leave for TX but as I said, it may be a while before I leave
I don't think I want to make it too complex so shooting would probably not be possible. My idea is, camping/drinking beer/cooking and maybe some fishing, then go home the following day |

Is there a date you have in mind yet?
I'm going to have to give work my July availability dates pretty soon and it would be easier to block out the date you have in mind ahead of time. I'm sure that it would help others plan as well |

Since it seems like Syracuse is preferred, those there can let me know if we can get together second Sat in July? |

Do you want to camp or just have a day or cooking out/relaxing?
If you guys just want to cook out I could rent a pavilion in Marcellus park, its a chilled out place, trout stream and just outside syracuse. If you guys want to camp we can find a place to camp. |

July 4th would be cool to celebrate your independence from this state, but without access to a range it would make me sad.
I'm fine with 7/11 - hopefully places are open by then. I am not familiar enough with Syracuse to recommend anything besides Chick-Fil-A (not enough seating) and Twin Trees (if they are open for dine-in by then - they do have side rooms available for reservation). I believe it was specifically this one down the road from CFA. I see there's also a Zebb's on that road; if their quality is similar to the one that used to be in New Hartford they have great hamburgers. |

Is it too soon to start a list of who brings what, so that we don't end up with 30 bottles of relish, 20 bags of chips and no beer?

Ah must have missed the part about an outdoor party, sounds fun!
I'd probably volunteer to bring soda and chips, I don't drink alcohol. (just can't get over the taste) As we get closer we'll get a proper count of those attending so I know how much to get. Put me down as going +1 maybe (wife, if I can convince her to go, we're not very sociable) |

Haven't been able to get ahold of anyone at Marcellus park because of the covid bullshit, I'll keep trying.
Any other suggestions, parks where we could just go cookout, Marcellus is nice because of the pavilions in case of rain and the charcoal grills. |

I have to thank you again, I really like that little center consul Montauk, but just wasn't using it anymore, and the ammo was more than a fair trade for it, although I should have brought the Truck as all that ammo was really too heavy for the SUV, tell you what else I should have brought: HELP. Shouldn't need a thing; had a new water pump installed last fall and the Marina fogged the motor.
Oh, and the trailer bearings were replaced with American made Bearings and seals a month ago. |

1201 is just trying to prep for his entry to belt feds. They are a bear to feed.
Now if 1201 would stop by my place maybe I could get some crap out of my office. Added an m60 today as if there was no space already. I wish I collected ar15s. |

If camping in state parks is not allowed by then, I have a few different thoughts that might work, most are private property and might require rental of a portajohn.
