Walking out of the local Stop and Rob, I was approached by a couple dudes in a Suburban wanting to give me a free 4K TV! They said they had several to give away, and I could just have one. To their disbelief, I just kept walking. What's the scam here? This type of shit used to happen to me all the time around the North side/BP/BC area. Definetely scams if not robbery setups. Imagine all the free TVs, free speakers and free Movado watches I could've had by now..

Takeoff of the old gypsy scam of approach a couple, give the woman a rose, and then ask for money. Once you commit and get the TV in your vehicle, they either ask for cash or if you have something to “trade”. Or rob you while you’re vulnerable due to putting the TV in your vehicle. TVs are either stolen, or empty boxes.
