Send it off to a trusted engraver like Orion.
I have 2 SBR's; the 1st I sent off w/o issues, the 2nd I thought I'd save some money and have a local jewelry shop (who said they could do it) do the work....now my 2nd SBR looks like I gave my 8yo kid and awl to scribe in my trust info. They didn't even break through the anodizing in most spots.
I had to go over everything with a file to meet the depth requirements and argue to get reimbursement for the lower.
On the plus side, I now have an ugly beater SBR that gets used cause I'm not afraid to fuck it up due to its ugliness.
