If you're up for real camping hike up Double Top Mtn in Madison County and camp out.   Part of it is WMA, so go kill breakfast after a night of ridge line roaming and gazing at a pending meteor shower.   It's about as remote as you will find in the search area.

The Cove is outside Gore, VA not too far from Manassas.  It has shooting ranges and places to camp.

My wife loved camping down near there when we went.

My understanding is that you can make special arrangements for night shooting if you talk to them well in advance.
