Linden, luray, front royal area is pretty awesome, Seven Bends near Woodstock is good

If you're up for real camping hike up Double Top Mtn in Madison County and camp out. Part of it is WMA, so go kill breakfast after a night of ridge line roaming and gazing at a pending meteor shower. It's about as remote as you will find in the search area.

The Cove is outside Gore, VA not too far from Manassas. It has shooting ranges and places to camp.

Just over 2.5 hours, Hite Hollow.
My wife loved camping down near there when we went. |
