The liberals accuse the conservatives of fear-mongering, and yet their entire crusade against the 2nd amendment is based upon fear-mongering. That is what Pritzker is doing. They are brainwashing the uninformed public (mainly young voters) with false "facts".

In 2016, there were approximately:
40,000 vehicle-related deaths
39,000 firearm-related deaths
64,000 drug overdose-related deaths
https://www.centeronaddiction.org/the-buzz-blog/we-asked-you-answered-did-guns-car-crashes-or-drug-overdoses-kill-more-people-2017

The drug overdose related deaths continue to rise at a much faster rate than firearm related deaths.
And as if DUIs from alcohol/drugs weren't high enough, what do you think will happen to DUI numbers and vehicle related deaths when more people start smoking marijuana? They'll likely go up.

Pritzker and the liberals want to ban firearms but not crack down on drugs. Instead, they're crusading to legalize marijuana.

The fact is, this is much larger than just guns if Pritzker gets elected. We will have serious problems in this state if he gets what he wants.

Increase on income tax, tax the mileage you drive, and propert tax increase. Legalize Marijauna. Illinois really will become a sanctuary state. Crime and shootings in Chicago will not decrease. On the 2A side. I would anticipate and AWB of some sort, Mag Bans, and Body Armor Bans, these may or may not have a grandfather clause. Most likely not. Dealer Licensing will be a passed without a doubt, pnly Rauner's veto stopped it last time. Most local FFLs will shut down as a result of this. Then I anticipate them going after ranges. Also think they will gut our CCW law.  Personally while the taxes will piss me off to no end, i could deal with those. The taking away of my right to choose how I defend myself and my family will have me looking to move out of state (if possible).

I guess I should consider myself fortunate that I don't really have much tying me to the state at this very moment. There's only the sentimental value of living near where I was born and raised. First there will be a mass exodus of guns as people try to move them out of state, and then there will be a mass exodus of people who are fed up with the direction things are headed. And then it'll only be a matter of time before the people remaining realize they voted wrong (or they may just continue to remain ignorant).

Wife and I have been talking about moving to TN.  If/when IL implements a firearm registration / ban / whatever nonsense the D's dream up we will start the relocation process.

Been looking in the Clarksville area.

IL is beyond repair on so many levels.

The gun laws scare me less than the taxes that are coming. I had reservations about actually leaving in a few years but now it’s settled.

Thanks a lot all you stupid Conservative Party voters. You fell for the trap and now we’ll all pay. I’m sure McCann is shopping for a new vacation home as I type this.

Pretty sure no one here voted for McCann lol.
Simple math makes it apparent that a vote for him is essentially a vote for Pritzker.

Around here I see McCann signs 10:1 so obviously people fell for it.

Welp, I guess we'll find out in a few hours. It would be extremely frustrating if Rauner loses to Pritzker by a slight margin and McCann has more votes than that difference.

That would drive me nuts. Should have a solid number in a few hours.

It's over boys. Ol' Blubber Boy won. By a huge margin.
