I’m not betting any PMAGs. Don’t ban me.
https://komonews.com/news/local/gun-law-reform-group-says-majority-of-washington-state-wants-assault-weapon-ban There a poll inside the article, not that it matters. |

Weird, Poll says 83% don't.
I find it odd that I nor anyone I know of has ever been polled on this issue? |

Evil bastards. Not like we didn't know that was their plan when they changed the legal definition of "assault weapon".

Not a question of if but when. I am hopeful we gain some ground in the mid-terms and get some separation from recent events. I lived through this in CT in 1993 and moved to FL right before Sandy Hook. I came here as part of a career change and knew this type of legislation was inevitable. I still got some fight left in me but the demographics don’t support our position. I am giving this place another 10 years and then plan on retiring (summers in WY or MT, winters in FL).

I am prepared.

If Olympia does not do it, they will push another (sketchy) initiative.

Mankra Dhingra crapping all over any opposition has made that seem unnecessary. |

While I am essentially GTG with what I already own, my major concerns over how I think an AWB in WA will go, assuming grandfathering (I really don't envision outright outlawing of possession just now):
1. No more parts 2. Severe limitations on use (this includes standard mags). 'Authorized' range or within domicile. Also includes transportation restrictions. 3. Storage 4. Impacts to non-'military' weapons - WA's definition of 'assault weapon' became the broadest in the country under 1639 IIRC 1-3 are where civil disobedience will play in. ETA took a screenshot of that KOMO poll's results - as stated by others, not that it matters, but will still use it as an artifact when contacting reps. Also, if this goes down the initiative path, any signature gatherer that crosses my path will get the same message: "You already had 1639, you had a magazine ban. You have more than enough - NFW am I signing that." |

I think it will be initiative based if they try, hey, don't blame us (dems), it is what the people want mentality. |
