I can't remember if the state temporarily suspended needing it or not?
Also will I need to renew mine even if I am not fishing and just helping with the kids? Will the ODNR Police pepper spray me and kick my ass

Kids under 16 don't need a license.
Dont get caught reeling in the fish for them. You also don't need one at private lakes |

You also don't need one at private lakes All correct, if you are with them on public water, I would strongly recommend that you have a fishing license, it is cheap $20 insurance from ODNR problems. |

I'd get one just to be safe. I (used to be ) a licensed hunter ed instructor for the ODNR & would tell people that if you're going out into the field, get the license. |
