Main thing 1:30 at City Hall "Drive-by Protest" in vehicles at NorthPark and maybe Galleria, around 4:30 edit: over now, only a few questions. Hall says deployed tear gas to disperse protestors and prevent property damage in one event. No questions about the rest of the night. |

Protesters are stopping traffic right now 3pm 5/30 on Central Expressway between Mockingbird and Northwest Highway. I was just on northbound Central between McCommas and Mockingbird and people on foot were hitting cars with lumber and pieces of rebar. I was in the middle of the traffic slowdown and was approached by two people holding rebar but was not attacked.

My wife and I have a $100 bet if it will be over or under 50 arrests tonight. She claims DPD won't be any different from last night, and dumbasses will be let alone to run wild. It was difficult to quantify the bet but I think I got pretty good setup at 50 or over.
Groups walking around downtown now, in addition to the main area which keeps moving west. Dusk comes early in downtown. |
