I know of Douglas barrels in crosslanes and jmac customs is somewhere in the state. But Im just curious of what other manufacturers or custom shops we have in our state. And I'm also curious as to if we have any large scale self defense firearms courses in the state?

For training, Pat Goodale and his crew in Alderson are excellent.

For less tactical and more concealed carry/defensive, Omega Tactical Concepts in St. Albans are great.

Childers guns in Fairmont.  Best AK receivers made.

I'm glad to hear this. I've been wanting to get a couple of their 80% receivers for
an AK-47 and an AK-74 build. I hope to actually stop in there one day.

Is anyone familiar with Precision Firearms in Martinsburg? I think the owner was a
member here at one time. His company does have its own AR-15 lower.

I had contacted him back in January 2013 because he made wood furniture for
AR-15s that I was interested in buying. We traded a couple of e-mails, and then I
asked him a couple of questions about two of the sets that I was interested in.
I never heard back from him. However, things were kind of crazy in the gun world
at that time, and I think he was in the process of moving to W.Va. from elsewhere.
