I'm shocked and slightly confused that he didn't roll out the unfinished firearms act stuff.  Any clue when the shoes will drop on that?  I'm guessing when he sees this waning or a bad news cycle for him comes up he'll sign'em...

$197million in tax dollars to answer questions we already know the answers to, and to solve a problem for which we pretend the root cause is something else.   Not to be surprised, 98% of that money will go to democrats

Ghost guns bills haven't been sent to Cuomo yet.

FUAC thinks suing gun manufacturers is the solution
they need to start putting these people in prison. Many times there are news artiles for some violent crime where the perp has a long rap sheet that should have resulted in them still being in prison at the time the latest crime was committed, thus preventing their latest crime. Someone commits a violent crime with a gun? automatic extra 5 years to the end of their sentence running consecutively to the sentences for all other charges not concurrent.
the democraps won't do that though, easier to target law abiding gun owners and businesses.

Andy and the Dims spent the last how many years dismantling the justice system that somewhat kept criminals off the streets and now we have a crisis?? WTF!
I just hope this task force that started here in Rochester actually arrests and keeps these criminals behind bars (using federal charges, in effect saying f-you to state laws).

If it's like any other gun task force, their targets will be hobby gun enthusiasts, who are not active criminals hurting others, but don't have 100% on various paperwork, barrel lengths, or the dreaded bayonet lug on their barrel.

So much easier to enforce the law against the law abiding.  They don't run away or shoot back, they don't curse or spit on you, and everyone in the Ruling Class applauds you for taking another legal gun owner off the voting roles.

Interesting how, in Cuomo's presentation he advocates "profiling".

4000 (or so) individuals, in specific geographical areas commit 49% of the gun violence in a state of x amount of millions.

So, I imagine, this declared state of emergency continues Cuomo's emergency powers and access to funds.

Also, wouldn't declaring a state of emergency for "gun violence" in NYS really cause an issue for attracting business and tourism?

This is going to backfire on him.
