Hi, friend is going to be at that Cathedral for a week.

Any good Latin (or others) restaurants in reasonable driving distance? Cigars?
I lived in the SW area and it was years ago.

Any info helpful.  I told him about little Havana etc but y’all may have info on local stuff. Cigar factories a plus.

That location is in Miami Lakes.

Shula's - Steakhouse
Mayor's Cafe - Breakfast

For cigars, stop by Oliva Cigar Shop. The CEO was our Speaker of the House before hitting term limits. The Main Street area has a few decent bars.

If he wants to drive to Hialeah and avoid the tourist spots, hit up Chico's, Molina's Ranch or Morro Castle for Cuban, but unless he speaks Spanish, be prepared to point to the pictures on the menu of what he wants.
