We tried. There were two bills in our General Assembly that addressed the problem this year. HB 29 was passed by the House but got no traction in the Senate. The other bill, HB 158 by Savannah Maddox, never got out of the starting gate. Missouri passed a very strong 2A Sanctuary bill a couple of years ago and it was recently challenged in federal court by the federal government in a lawsuit. I think a lot of legislators want to see the results of that suit before they act. I won't be expecting any dramatic acts constitutional bravery from our legislators. SOP in Frankfort has always been "wait and see".
