I called. Lady anserwed the phone. Told her to relay to Gov. Dewine to sign SB 215.

Did we ever come up with the date/time it would become law without his signature? Making my daily call to the Lukewarm RINO’s office shortly.

I did his web contact form.

When does it become law without his signature ?

I am really excited Ohio might join the ranks, its nice to get low populated states in the list but big populated states like Ohio and Texas are a bigger win in my opinion.

Today was the tenth day (not counting Sundays) AFTER the bill passed.  If he's going to betray us he has to do it before midnight.
I don't think regular office hours count here.

It would go into effect June 6.

Yes they do, here is a link to the citation and here is the relevant text.  Link

The Ohio Constitution requires that each act passed by the General Assembly be presented to the Governor for approval before it becomes law. If the Governor approves, he or she signs the act, whereupon it becomes law and is filed with the Secretary of State. If the Governor fails to sign the act or to return it with a veto within ten days after receiving it (Sundays excluded), it becomes law as if it had been signed

Is there a reason why he would wait till the last minute to veto? I think he just doesn't have the balls to put his name on it.

Now that this will become law, what should we push our legislators to do now regarding gun rights?

One of the best parts is,

It also removed the legal requirement for gun owners to tell police they are armed when stopped. Law enforcement will have to ask, et al.

“Bob Cornwell, executive director of the Buckeye State Sheriff’s Association, representing sheriffs across Ohio, previously told FOX 8 they aren’t taking a stance on the bill.

“If an individual is approached by a law enforcement officer, the individual, if they’re carrying a firearm, must notify the law enforcement officer that they are carrying. If they fail to do so then it would be a misdemeanor of the second degree,” said Cornwell of an added amendment.”

Let the main stream media’s deceit begin.

People  will be trolling cops looking for law suits.

That would be a bad move on their part.

I see on the BFA site, "Obtaining a concealed handgun license will become optional."  Will the license still be good for expedited firearm purchases?

Same as with a license, correct?  I haven't see confirmation on this part.  Currently transport of long guns is very different depending on CHL status.

I don't think this is going to help with other states.
I think the question is can non residents carry without permit, and the same question for other states with Constitutional carry.
