Like the title says, I am ready to move from this Blue State Nevada shit hole and am looking at the Dakotas, Wyoming, Idaho- that general area. Do ya'll have the stupid mask rules like NV? Is your real estate market shut down by covid19 or are properties able to be bought and sold? I am looking to either buy or build a home on a piece of land that I can shoot on or buy a home in a small town and have a piece of land not too far away for shooting. Most importantly, is your state at risk of going blue? Thanks for the feedback.

Aside from a few of the bigger cities shutting down restaurants, etc. for a bit back in April/May life has been normal here. Do whatever you want.
|
|
Real estate is running just fine, I'm actually in the process of buying a house right now. Some places have masks required, some dont.

Good to hear. It is getting stupid here in Eastern Kalifornia, aka Nevada. Mandatory masks, bars shut down, etc. I am real close to quitting my job so that I can drive up there and see what area speaks to me and then get myself a home with some land.
|
|
No state-wide mask mandate. We didn't even have a state-issued lockdown. Or any state restrictions, for that matter.
|
|
That is great to hear. Nevada is going the retard route with the over reaction to the plandemic. I am most likely gonna quit my job in a few weeks and drive up there and explore/check it out.

We need good patriots in South Dakota. We have a damn good governor. Some people are wearing masks but as others have pointed out there’s no mandate (and there won’t be).
Eventually Sioux Falls will becomes our Chicago. Every warm body we can get here to counter that will help stave off disaster. |

Fuck blue states and their bullshit. I grew up in kalifornia and saw first hand how demoncrap policies destroy states, counties, and cities for everyone. I moved to Nevada in 2006 to live the Nevada way but the fucking nanny state loving retards from kalifornia have flooded Nevada and handed it over to the demoncrap party. I want to live in a nice small town where I will be living among fellow americans who will do stuff like band together and throw antifa/blm out of town, not welcome those assholes like the big cities do. |

I put in notice at work yesterday. I will be taking a few months to scout around the area to find the place that speaks to me where I will find my home. SD is one of the first states I will be checking out. Nevada guvnah king shitstack signed the mail in ballot bill yesterday. This state, like kalifornia, is circling the drain and I want out before the flush.

South Dakota is never going "blue." Nice real estate available in the Black Hills area and in small towns. Lots of state and federal land to shoot on. Tons of trails to hike. Lakes to fish. Hunting, etc. Just make sure you scrape off any leftist/liberal crap off your boots when you leave Nevada.

South Dakota has plenty of room for conservatives. Just leave your home state at the door.

I lived in and around Sturgis in the late 90s, and it was a beautiful part of the state, but the economy was in the crapper. I’d consider going back there but is there any work for experienced truckers that isn’t driving out to the west coast and then East? I’ve done my part with OTR over the years, but I’m done living in a vehicle.
Hell, I was born in Pierre in ‘71, and recently found out that my application for membership in the Yankton Sioux tribe was approved in ‘98, but the paperwork was lost to time. I didn’t even know until yesterday when I got an email back from the tribal enrollment office about papers I found in an old file cabinet last week. |

View Quote I have heard of a few older ones that get into some sweetheart deals where they have a set route they go on 2-3 times a week and are home every night.. but those are few and far between. There has been some talk of trying to get a cross dock setup around here.... not sure that opens up any better opportunities or not. |

Fedex was just listing looking for CDL drivers to run a route from Pierre to MN somewhere. They advertised that pay was good and home every night. It was listed on Indeed.

Just a fair warning for all you southerners I seen recently...
"For everyone looking to move to South Dakota. This week it was 103 and in 5 months it will be 140 degrees colder than it was today. Oh and mountain lions will eat you and the Bison will strip you of your jeans..." |

We are also considering SD. IL is circling the drain, and deservedly so.
What's happening in Sioux Falls that's causing the decline? Because Chicago is nothing anybody sane wants to emulate. Same reason, democrats? If that's happening, western SD will be the focus. If we finally get out of IL, I swear by all that's holy to never, NEVER mention anything about IL being better at anything. It's not better at anything, not a damn thing at all. |

Better call Orkin, and have them spray for roaches.
I'd love to live in a state without the leftist influences IL has had for a long time. Are the SD colleges overrun with home grown marxists like so many others? If so, there is the infestation. |

Downtown SF is a ugly shade of blue (you wouldn't want to live there anyways) but as you work your way to the edge of town and into the country/surrounding towns, SD is the most beautiful deep shade of red you've ever seen (minus a few pockets of blue in certain parts of the state where people don't generally go because, huh, well, unless you go to a casino there).

I finally started my first road trip to SD this week. Am in Rapid City right now. I like this area so far. My plan once I decide where I will move to is to ideally find a place or have a house dropped/built at least 20-30 minutes away from a city center. I can drive to town to access stores, don't need to live in the middle of town. I just want to own my own home/land and shoot my guns on the weekend, and learn to hunt. I also want to own a piece of land up to an hour away from my home where.I can shoot and have as a bug out location-drop a mobile home or shipping container on it. It is weird as a Nevadan seeing white guys working construction out here!

I live in Washington State and moving to Watertown, SD, in less than 2 years.
My kids are there, so easy for me. Don't worry, I am a Veteran and Ultra Conservative Patriot! I found a really cool area outside of town, on 2 acres. Up on a ridge, surrounded by 3 Glacial Lakes. This state is also gone to the Libtards. Excited to move to SD!!! |

I want to get off the east coast and I was thinking IA, NE or SD. My wife and I are deep red. We have two boys age 6 and 5 that will be raised at Patriots! I’m 35 and my wife is 33. I currently work at an oil refinery but really Would love to find a job at an ethanol plant. I can’t wait to get the hell off the East coast!

Thanks for taking the time to answer. I would never have pegged Iowa for a blue state but that’s why I came to ask.
How is the town of Groton, SD? I see that it’s close to Aberdeen and that looks to be a large town. |

I left Delaware years ago, glad I did.
Headed West to Colorado, Idaho and Washington. Now heading to SD and that is where I will stay! |

Aberdeen is not my favorite place by any measurable dynamic. It's ugly, small, and the people I have met from there were arrogant. God knows why. |
