Can the countless victims of violent crimes in NYC denied a permit join a class action lawsuit against the state as they had repeatedly and often denied most anyone the constitutional right to defend oneself ?
I think there are likely a few violent crime victims in NYC that may have been able to defend themselves, but were not in the special catagory to deserve a carry permit in NY.
I mean...technically they don't have to be the victims of a crime to sue now right?
They were denied a constitutional right. Just because the supreme court decided the case today doesn't make it any less of a violation of rights because they were denied 10 years ago.
Right? I could be wrong.
