Do I need to change my DL address first or can I register my vehicles at the new property first? I have a deed and utility bills for the new address.


We can't wait to leave Jefferson County.

I would do the DL then register...  not sure if that is correct order but maybe just to have proof?

I lived in Jefferson County for way too long (any amount of time is too long to be in Jefferson Co).  I'm also glad to be out.  Many of the other county clerk's offices are worlds better in every way

When I left Jefferson County, I did this in order:

Change of address
New license and ccw
Waited until the renewal cards came in the mail, then went and paid the fee and got the new sticker.

It is actually a misdemeanor to not change your address on your dl within 10 days
