There are no metal detectors what so ever. Conceal carry all you want. You will see a 'no weapons permitted' sign at the entrance, but ho friggin hum.

I haven't been in there in years (no family no kids). Not since the last time there was a PiratesFest held there.
But I always made a point to go see the miniature Railroad and Village. Its a huge Lionel display with SW Pa scenery. One thing I was a little disappointed in was the star projector. The modern one was nowhere near as good as the old Zeiss one. Betelgeuse isn't supposed to be green. Maybe they have a better one by one, or took the old one out of the original carnegie science center. |

My son changed his mind. Something about the style of Lego building that he doesn't like. We are back in the PRNY. I got my Pamela's corn beef hash before we left so I'm happy. I'll go again when we drop him off in January. Maybe I'll bring home an extra order. It's crazy but I can't find really good CBH here. The though of Pamela's helps me overcome the 7 hour drive to Pittsburgh.
