Running what you would normally grab is what you run in a class. If you haven't worn a plate carrier for more than 30 minutes while posting for the gram, you will suffer and you won't learn anything because you're to busy fucking with your gear.

I would be in for this think it is a great idea to meet some good folks and great some great training. I have done some open shoots out there and it is a great place for training.

OK I spoke with TJ today. He will be in the process of getting a sign up page on the TV website. Things are progressing and this looks like its gonna be a go soon.
I will make a new thread THE OFFICIAL TIGER VALLEY CARBINE CLASS SIGN UP once the class is up. It should have a link to the class when it gets posted. There will be something like $75 -100 down payment. And then installments. On the phone he mentioned it would need to be paid in full 30 days prior to the class start. He also mentions we need 10 people not 4. I thought he originally told me 4, but the magic number is 10. I NEED 10 PEOPLE TO SIGN UP. This is a long way out. I will continually post ammo links so people can acquire ammo as necessary. He also asked how many would be tent camping. I stated that I would, and probably at least 3-4 others. Maybe more. |

I'll be there with my travel trailer.
and as far as gear, my old ass benefited from elbow pads and knee pads. Spare rifle parts and a good idea as others have posted. My BIL had a gas ring burn up when he went with me to TV. |

I've been watching sgammo stock myself daily, debating between just ordering a couple cases now, or waiting a bit. Mostly to keep the wife happier by spreading out the spending a little.

MADUCE hasn't logged in since 9/15. That was the last time I heard anything from him.
I really hope he is ok at this point. Living in this crazy time with covid, but I have no idea what, if anything, he might be going through. Just best wishes for him, for now. No idea what is going on, and contact was left his court so he will contact when ready. Just hoping he is healthy and things are ok. |

Well, if you DO get this rolling, me and my sweetheart are both interested in attending. I've had some training and overseas experience on both the .mil and contractor sides, and she is former Army Warrant Officer, so she's had very little formal marksmanship training, but she is a natural good shot with rifle or pistol.
I am always on board for reinforcing the fundamentals, and she is keen to learn from the ground up how to run a lightweight carbine like a pro. I figure this class will be a good experience for both of us. Let me know of there is any way I can help. |
