The bolt handle on my R700 snapped off while shooting. I am trying to pull the bolt out so that I can have the handle welded. In order to do so, I need to remove the trigger pack from the receiver. I recently moved and don’t have my tools, and I’m in need of a vise and punch. Is anyone around the greater Boston area available to help me pull the bolt out of this rifle? Beer on me.

I'm in Connecticut (near Hartford) and have a pretty decent collection of tools. It would be a long drive but I would be glad to arrange a time when you could come down and use mine (or we could work together). IM or Email me and we can talk.

This screwdriver set can be found at most Auto Zones, and it has common Torx as well as Allen heads.
https://www.autozone.com/screwdrivers/driver-bit/p/titan-bit-set-with-case-31-piece/110274_0_0 Presumably there is a fired case in the chamber, and the round was (apparently) hot/over pressure, and the bolt snapped when trying to extract the cartridge case? |
