Taking a trip to New Orleans next month. I have a PA LTCF. Am I also able to legally concealed carry in Louisiana or no bueno?

Yes.  Note that you cannot lawfully carry into bars, or the portion of a bar/restaurant that is the bar area, nor is it lawful to carry if your B.A.C. is equal to or greater than 0.05.

You should also note that you cannot carry within 1000 feet of a parade route or within 1000 feet of a school.  There is a school on the far side of the French Quarter, and parades come down Canal Street during Mardi Gras.  During that time frame that makes a large portion of the French Quarter a no-no for guns.

Please quote the law that states this.  No mention of the 1000 foot rule in RS 40:1379.3.

Note that is also states IN a parade, not AT a parade.
