Some are recommending that the notice be sent to a state level CLEO.  State level CLEOS  seem to be less interested in making a big deal out of it.

f. Law Enforcement Notification. The transferee must provide a copy of the
Form 4 to the chief law enforcement officer (CLEO) who has jurisdiction
over the area of the transferee’s address shown in item 2a of the Form 4. In
addition, if the transferee is other than an individual, a copy of the Form
5320.23, National Firearms Act (NFA) Responsible Person Question
naire, completed by each responsible person must be provided to their
respective chief law enforcement officer. The chief law enforcement
officer is considered to be the Chief of Police; the Sheriff; the Head of the
State Police, or a State or local district attorney or prosecutor.

If Silencer Shop does your form, they send the notification to Pam Bondi. If I do them, I send them to the SO in your county of residence.

That's where I'm tripping up. I don't want to create a battle out of this. Sheriff Bradshaw is anti-gun but i'll send the letter to him if I need to.

@cs223

If Pam Bondi works that sounds fine to me.

Is this the address used?

Office of Attorney General
State of Florida
The Capitol PL-01
Tallahassee, FL 32399-1050

Telephone Numbers

Perfect.  How did she "reject it"?  Can I assume she returned it with some indication of rejection?

If she returned it, just file it with your other NFA records as proof you notified her.  You are done.  You are GTG.

I love it when the plan works.

"this office is not the correct recipient.."

"therefore, we are returning the form to you (enclosed) so that you may direct the information to the correct authority. The contact information for Palm Beach County Sherrif Ric L. Bradshaw is:"

I'm confused because the letterhead on the letter is Pam Bondi ATTORNEY GENERAL STATE OF FLORIDA and its from the "OFFICE OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL"

it even references the form that says "The chief law enforcement officer is considered to be the chief of police; the sheriff; the head of the state police; or a state or local district attorney or prosecutor"

screw it, I'll mail it out to the sheriff on monday.
