Does anyone know if the museums in Philly use metal detectors, or which ones?
I might be going to at least one museum this weekend. I don't want to leave my gun in the car. |

Liberty Bell is out, metal detectors. That is the only one I know for sure.

It sounds like it will be Eastern State Penitentiary and the Mutter Museum.
Any info on those is appreciated. |

No metal detectors. Get to Mutter right around opening if you can. There is a parking lot beside the place that is nice. The Penitentiary is mostly open air so dress for the weather outside. Both are quite enjoyable. |

The Mutter was good and no sign of metal detectors. Parked right there. Some of the visitors were nearly as odd as the exhibits. My wife assured me that neon hair colors really aren't so unusual.
We skipped eastern state - by the time we finished lunch she'd had enough of the city. Thanks Guys |
