Judiciary Committee expected to vote gun bills out of committee. We expect the Judiciary Committee to vote several gun bills out of committee this week. It is not uncommon for unpopular bills to make it out of committee, however we will still need to take action before the full vote in both chambers. The timing of that vote is still unknown, but expect an action alert from CCDL once it is scheduled. At that time, the action alert will ask you to call your legislator and request a return call. Making the call is extremely important when the time comes.
In the meantime, if you would like to contact Judiciary Members to express inform them of your stance on the bills you may find the committee member's contact information
here. However, you must click the committee membership bar on the page to see it. Most importantly stand by for the upcoming action alert!
As a reminder, these are the bills before the committee:

H.B. No. 6667 AN ACT ADDRESSING GUN VIOLENCE.
