Daughter and son-in-law live in St. Maries (Benewah County).

I want to get them a gun safe for Christmas.

Any suggestions on a place to get a "good" starter safe?

(It's a plus if delivery is possible, but S-I-L does have a lift gate truck.)

Ironman Safe Co is located in CDA.  Unknown if they deliver to St. Maries.

I will second Iron man, Jason is a great guy to do businesses with.

He helped me with my walk in vault room a few years back.

Just outside of StMaries BTW

ETA: He delivered then

Very interesting.  I was kind of thinking that for a starter safe, maybe just Costco in CDA would suffice.  But if there is a local business, it might be worth it to spend a bit more.

I need to discuss with daughter to see if they can handle a "real" safe in their starter home.

I don't know if the Costco in CDA has safes. Maybe you can order them..

Black Sheep does, cabelas over near state line does. I'll third for Iron Man, though. I've got one in the basement, wouldn't hesitate to get another.

ETA - I think tractor supply in CDA has safes, too.

Iron man used to have some very competitive safe prices

FYI, Costco in Spokane maybe your best bet for a set starter safe. Since WA thinks guns are icky, they don’t tax the purchase of one.

If you want somewhere local, Blue Goose probably still sells gun safes.
