So the bomber hat thread in GD got me thinking ...

As some of you heard, I spent a month in Bethel in 2009.  At the time, their hospital lobby allowed people to sell things 'on the side,' which included things like earrings, mittens, hats, etc.  I couldn't afford that stuff at the time, but I'm in a better place now.  Unfortunately, I didn't keep in contact with anyone that worked at the hospital there.

With that being said, I always wanted a fur hat, and I'd rather give it to some local that's working a side hustle than a big-ass company.

Does anyone here have any family/friends/neighbors that does decent work and would be willing to make one?  Rabbit, fox, wolf, coyote ... something like that. Doesn't have to be beaver, moose or something super exotic.

He sold me one of his whale penis hats. I didn't care for the leather at all, it was stiff for a long time.  

I'm suprised it stood up in that cold.

Gor a friend whose wife makes all sorts of hats from various kinda of fur. Otter and seal are her most requested. Will save this thread, and when I see him on Monday, I'll hit him up. Will pm you then for details when I get an idea of what she has on hand.
