I was out of state for a few months and stopped by my local Sportsman's Warehouse (Lansing).

I noticed that all BP rifles and revolvers were missing on the "shopping cart "rack.

Did something happen in the state laws like Illinois requiring a background check?

If I wanted to buy a BP firearm in your state do I need to transfer and ship through an FFL?

Thanks to SB76 which is passing they will require a permit issued by your local law enforcement to buy, as well as registration, as all firearms will require registration with antiques and replicas receiving no exemption.
