Any recommendations? I hope I'm never involved in an act of personal protection but it would give me great piece of mind to have 24/7 access to an attorney who has this sort of expertise.

Scott Rosenblum is apparently a good one, but he is pretty high profile and expensive.

Poors like me use U.S. Lawshield.  24/7 access to a local program attorney experienced with 2a.  Something like $12 a month.
