I'm thinking a trust sounds like the way to go but happy to hear opinions either way. If this is your first nfa transfer, the right dealer can be a lifesaver. Have you found what you want? In or out of state? I also wouldn't limit yourself to bend only. I still use a dealer in thr pdx area as they have treated me well over the past 15 years. Are you in bend already? Updated all your address les and dl? Can cause some issues in an already long process. |

Not in Bend yet but have an address.
Will be registering to vote asap once on site. No DMV appointments until mid-Oct for DL and license plates but will have local bank change of address on day one. |

Tom Denall in Bend is a great SOT and gunsmith.
If you go the SilencerShop route Redmond Firearms is gtg. I’ve used both FFL’s multiple times. Feel free to PM me for any details or questions. Welcome to Bend! Have you shot suppressors before? A rimfire can is a great way to get into NFA. I personally find suppressed pistols underwhelming.

THANKS for all the great info!
We are excited to be starting the next chapter in our lives, mountain biking, motorcycling and enjoying life in Bend. I have shot a suppressed 22 Buckmark pistol before and really enjoyed it. It's just so civilized! It blew me away going into a gun shop in New Zealand and seeing all the deer rifles with suppressors on the wall. Looking forward to adding it to a few rifles as well. |
