My guy was calling everyone he knew trying to get rid of a half. 4 deer and an elk in the freezer meant no room for anything else....

Any idea what going rates are right now for 1/4 or 1/2 beef? In the Columbus area, if that makes a difference.

I don’t know what it is now, but in March of 2020 I got a whole beef processed for $485. Hanging weight was around 700 pounds and then after wrapping I think there was around 460 pounds. I paid the farmer $1400-1500.
I doubt it would be that low right now and last time I check it was 8 months out at the 2 butcher shops I use. |
