No pics, but saw one over Centerville a short while ago.

Pretty cool I thought.

I sure do miss the C-5s.
They used to fly directly over my home in South Charleston, as they did touch and goes.
My house was at the far end of their turnaround to go back to base.
As they passed overhead they were what seemed like 1,000 ft overhead and in a steep bank, turning sharply.
The pic below is how high the C-5's typically flew.  It is hard to describe how cool it was to see (and hear) them multiple times a day.

These were taken with an old crappy 1 or 2 MP digital camera back then (prior to smartphone cameras)
I just watched the videos, there was a B-1, B-2, F-22, B-52, F-117, C-17, C-5

I grew up ne of the flight path, watching them come and go all day long as a kid.

No, mostly just C-17 there these days. used to be tons of C-5's it was awe inspiring.

I remember those well.

Cross the street had the answer for the wood they would give me! 😉

Passing through.  I've seen an assortment of military aircraft fly overhead through the years. Not just AF, but Navy, Marine and Army stuff also.

I believe they use WPAFB as a refueling stop for the most part, but it is also a temporary relocation spot for aircraft from coastal installations threatened by hurricanes.

there were a couple of C-5's in and out of Columbus (CMH not LCK) a couple of weeks ago.
