I'm itching to take my son out fishing for the first time, but I want him to have maximum fun and minimum boredom.

I’d bet you could still get some walleyes  but I’d be thinker by everything would start biting. My buddy went out on hoe private pond for bass a few days ago.

I got a nice private spot I go to with a stocked bluegill pond for kids.  I just don't know when the water temp will be good for their metabolism and spawning.  And its a bit of a drive for me so its not like we can go on a whim just to try it out.
