I'm interested in stocking the freezer I have idle with a lot of beef. Any recommendations on places? I'm in North Mesa if that helps. I saw a place on the 202 and Val Vista that does this

Used to raise my own and sell them off by the 1/4. Best guy around is Jason Holiday with Holiday Processing. He usually has people looking to sell 1/2 or 1/4 off and he was referred to me by the USDA  inspector who said Holiday Processing always gets A+ ratings on his inspections.

Plan on 110-125 lbs of beef per 1/4 cow. Also you can tell him how thick you want your steaks, how many steaks are packaged together in one wrap, and what cuts of beef you want and which ones you want ground into hamburger.

Looks like Jason is not working out of his Queen Creek location anymore. It's been a few years but heck of a nice guy and always happy with the meat.

I'll throw in on this one, looking for a half or full steer to buy this season as no deer or elk tags for us.  I don't have a steer to process looking for someone to buy from, cut and wrapped if anyone has someone.  Recommendations and leads can be repaid in some killer sausage or jerky!

We discussed this price was about $600 for a 1/4 cow. Went back a month later and it was $900 same place, IIRC. So, next week we'll pick up our half pig for $300 at the Pork Shop. Same price it's been for some time now, but might be going up soon, according to the nice young girl who took our order. 75 pound of various pork products.

Are you supposed to bring in your own cow?  How can you just get 1/4 without already having a whole, live cow?
