Used to go all the time but haven’t in probably 10 years. Usually start around Estes park and venture out from there.

Are they still doing that fed gov permit bull shit? Where you have to apply months ahead and only have allotted times etc etc?

Or are you still able to do as you please like it fucking should be?!

If they do I will go to Wyoming instead.

Thanks in advance.

Enjoy your trip to Wyoming!

(The last I heard, you still need reservations as of July)

Was just up there last weekend.  Reservations required 0900-1500.  Go early, no reservation required and less people in the park.

Lifehack:

Park at the YMCA by the summer youth camp cabin (40.341742, -105.579645) and hike the 1/2 mile trail to Tuxedo Park (40.346077, -105.582991). From there you can take the free shuttles all over the park. We have permits, but no one ever checks them. Been doing this for a few years now.
