Want to go but my first is due in a week so won't really be able to commit until early January at least. I'll also be on parental leave from work so don't know if we'd be here (east Charlotte) or at my mom's place in PA by that time. But if I can make it and leaving from here, I'm down to split a ride and hotel room.

I'm supposed to work Sunday night (Jan19) However I can take the night off. I'd be down for helping you with gas money! Just lemma make sure I can swing taking that night off. |

Sounds like anyone that attends needs to take only 20 round mags due to VA laws.and ccw reprocity.
Legally 30 rounder mags is technically ok however I'll get that will be a major no no with what's going on. |

Debate is over.
Got a place to crash, now just need to secure transportation up and back. The key is, I have to be back Monday night, ready to get back to Dad duties Tuesday morning. |

I want to go. I can leave sunday and come back Monday evening. I am not familiar with the area such as parking or where to stay. I wouldn't mind tagging along with someone or a group, and more than willing to pay my way. Im in the NENC area. What are my options? Now off to GD to post there too.

Not gonna make it but I did send a contribution to the VCDL via snail mail. Not a wealthy guy, but I'd help what I can financially to NC brothers that are able to go on our behalf. Gas money, etc. Not much I know. But still the offer is there.

I'm a Civil War buff and have always wanted to visit Richmond - now especially.
Taking Amtrak and will be there for my VA brothers. Don't know where the hell I'm going once I get off the train, but I'm definitely there. |

I live in SC and have tried getting involved with their carpool, but my company is based out of charlotte and that would be an incredibly easy place for me to be also.
I don't have a personal car which would have it up to VA and I don't think I could take a company truck, so I'm looking for a carpool. Anyone departing from the Charlotte area and returning home Monday? I'll cover gas, or snacks and food along the way. @Delemorte is your ride full at this point? |

Thanks everyone, I hate to say it but NC is only about 5-10 years behind us in VA. I’m hoping to move to NC soon (plans were in the works long before the gun grabbers) and I would continue to support VCDL and the NC equivalent.

Got into Richmond about 2 hrs ago and did a few drive bys
It is going to be a mess tomorrow for anybody trying to get into the “ fenced freedom “ area. They pretty much have it set up as a choke point. And if/ when you get in- no bathrooms or water stations that I saw I plan to drive down a 7 am and try to park. Will walk to get breakfast. I am staying out of fencing |
