Was wondering if anyone in here shoots long range (out to + 1,000 yards) in central OK?  Thinking about getting into it, been about 10 years since my longest shots on p-dog were in 500 yd range.  Not sure why but I have a hankering to shot less and longer these days

The high power range is 600 yards, that is the longest range at the OKCGC.

I used an M1A NM with Bushnell Eite 3200 10x/Bassett scope mount. It's not a tacticool set up but it worked fine for the class which is pretty good considering Oklahoma is considered a hick state.
We've got an 800 yd range on my FIL's farm. He gets a kick out of shooting my 50 BMG AR50.
Shooting at OKC Gun Club's High Power range and Silhouette range is restricted. You can't shoot on the High Power range unless you take their HP safety "direction" course. The silhouette range has restrictions on high power rifles.
Basically they can't and don't trust members with open ranges on long distance rifles.
