Been away for a while. Headed back to Wilmington soon for a weekend visit.

Any new gun shops in town? How is Shooters Choice since reopening?

I recall one or two shops were opening in the Monkey Junction area...?

Backwater and Jims pawn and guns for variety.
They both have SilencerShop kiosks the last time I was there.
Also check out Sportsman Warehouse over near the target shopping center.
I don't really go anywhere else, there might be better places.

There are a couple in the Monkey Junction area, but honestly they are pretty small.  I suspect they make their living off of transfers and concealed carry courses.

The times I have been in there they really didn't have much to browse.

I run a small online shop and am based here in wilmington. Mostly milsurps, but I am an 01/SOT and can get whatever people want for the most part.  www.mrsurplusllc.com (website is barren atm, but I have a big batch of stuff Im processing and photographing now).

ProGun NC over off technology drive by North Chase is another small shop as well. They are 01s, and are moving more towards the repair/cerakote side of the house.

How much does Mr. Surplus charge ARFcom members for a transfer?

I dont do a ton of transfers right now, because Im home based and dont have a separate area setup to do them in.  I know ProGun does them really cheap, maybe 10.00 per?

Thanks. Had not heard of ProGun, and I used to live near that area of town... How new are they?

Did they ever finish the expansion project they were working on? The last few times I went in there it was a disorganized mess of a place...

Was just in today. It's pretty messy. I need a good smith in town that won't charge me 50 to install night sights. SMFH.
Haven't asked Tiller & L. a price yet.

Try progun. The nightsights install should be pretty easy for them.

HAHA, mee to. Thanks. Stay safe.
Tiller ended up doing the rear for $25. Said front and rear would be 25-35. I had already bought the front sight tool and locktite.

Tried progun- $35 for barrel nut torque and muzzle device tighten.
Tried Bullseye -$35
Tried Tiller and Lanier- backed up 2 weeks

Very odd, last time I was in Bullseye the owner did a muzzle device tighten for free.... now his sales guy is trying to get $35.

Jesus christ for $35 I can get the tools. I typically do all my gunsmithing, but my tools are a long way from NC.

Tiller seems like the only decent place around here.

I'll check Hampstead next since I'm up there a lot.

Try Eastern Outfitters? There used to be a guy that built ARs and did other 'smith work. Retired Marine or Army armorer maybe? I inquired about a simple AR build issue and recall the price was not outrageous.
