Did this occur on a public roadway?

Any injuries?

Major damage?

Was the suspect impaired/intoxicated in any way?

If yes to any of the above, call non-emergency number 311 to request a traffic unit to respond for a report.

What was the time lapse?  Did this happen recently (I.e., within previous couple of hours) or more than a day ago?

Regardless, call 311 for answers...and follow-up through the LVMPD Traffic Division Hit & Run Detail.

Most H&Rs involve illegal aliens (no valid driver’s license, no insurance, etc...).  A report number (“Event Number”) is usually sufficient for rental car returns.

This took place at daycare private parking lot. Lady has admitted to daycare it was her but says it was a borrowed car ? huh what. Doesn't matter if it was a borrowed car. Is this considered a felony under the new laws. She probably has done this before, tired of these pos shit people escaping and not owning up to their screw up.

This happened yesterday, son didn't notice it till this morning. Nobody was injured. Lady dropped off her kid and hit son's rental car and left.

He can go into his local substation with whatever suspect information he has and they can take it from there.  Provide the report number to the rental car company.  Most full coverage car insurance policies will cover the damage to his rental car and they/he can later recover from the offender when the information becomes available.
