I always hear people recommending Simon & Seafort's.

I haven't been so I can't say personally, I catch and cook my own and we don't go out much anymore anyway.  Closest I've come to eating seafood out was a salmon burrito from a food truck at the 4th of July deal in Delaney park, it was really good and I've come up with a pretty good recipe from trying to replicate it.  Before that it was a Shrimp Diablo pasta dish at Evangelo's in Wasilla two years ago.

I really like Simon's. Stuffed Halibut Cheeks are where it's at.

I've only had horrible experiences at Evangelos. My wife and I got food poisoning there. I really don't understand how that place gets so much business.

It was the first and only time we've been.  Food was ok.  Decor was... interesting?  We'd just moved up to the valley from Anchorage and it was our anniversary.  Heard it was the place to go.  We go to Everett's or Grape Tap for special occasions now.

I am not a fan of evangelos.  Picolinos or Marcellos is better.  I get the crab stuffed mushrooms to go and use them as omlette filler the next day.  Meta & Rose is ok but if I had known the lamb chops were going to come out like country fried steak I would have ordered something else.

Everette's food is good. However, I do think it's overpriced for the ambience. I've heard many great things about Grape Tap but I haven't tried it yet. I will have to check them out for our next special occasion.
